AMD Enthusiast Platforms Event
AMD Enthusiast-only Preview Event and Press Conference:
AMD’s next-generation enthusiast solutions beg to be experienced, so why not offer hard-core fans a preview? On May 10 in the heart of downtown San Francisco, AMD hosted more than 85 technology enthusiasts and online community members at ‘Shine’ for a sneak peek. Guests experienced the new ATI Radeon HD™ 2900, the upcoming AMD Phenom™ processor, and the latest Ruby demo, “Whiteout.”
AMD also pulled back the curtain on the world’s first all-AMD enthusiast PC platform - “FASN8” (pronounced “fascinate”). The platform includes two true quad-core AMD Phenom processors, the new DirectX 10 ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT, as well as an upcoming AMD next-generation, high-performance chipset, due in the second half of 2007.
AMD is excited to celebrate these latest innovations with the loyal enthusiast community users; they continue to push technology to the limits and blaze trails by creating new usage models for the mainstream.
The next morning after the enthusiast preview, AMD held a press conference. View the press conference presentation (pdf)
